CB Merritt

My interest in photography began when I was 11 or 12 years old with a bathroom converted into  a small dark room, making contact prints from black-and-white negatives. I continued with photography as a major interest throughout my professional life as a physician. During this time, I traveled extensively and worked in my home darkroom printing both black and white and color images. Since 2025, I have explored my extensive collection of film and digital photographs taken over 40 years and have begun to combine them digitally to create original abstract constructions which now form the body of work.  Recent exhibitions of my work have included Second Story Gallery in New Orleans and Exhibits at the New Orleans Photo Alliance.
